Note: Many fans consider the “AvP” films non-canonical, but we’ve included them at the start for the completists.

- Alien: Covenant (Set in 2104)
- Alien: Earth (TV Series – Season 1) (Set in 2120) – Takes place just two years before the original movie.
- Alien (Set in 2122)
- Alien: Romulus (Set in 2142) – The 2024 hit bridges the 57-year gap between Alien and Aliens.

This is the order most fans grew up with. It allows you to see the special effects and filmmaking styles evolve from 1979 horror to 2025 high-budget TV.

What’s New for 2026?
The “Xeno-verse” is expanding rapidly following the late 2025 boom:
- Alien: Earth Season 2: Officially confirmed by FX and Noah Hawley. Production begins in London in 2026, with a likely 2027 release.
- Alien: Romulus Sequel: Fede Álvarez has confirmed a script is in development that will follow the survivors Rain and Andy. Rumours suggest filming could begin as early as late 2026.
- Alien: Isolation 2: A sequel to the legendary 2014 horror game is officially in development at Creative Assembly, bringing more canon lore to the 2137 timeline.
