About East Kilbride Comic Con

The BGCP East Kilbride Comic Con is one of Scotland’s biggest free events. We take over the huge EK Shopping Centre and bring the fun of Comic Con Scotland to the high street.

The event is just south of Glasgow. It is a top choice for kids events and sits high on the What’s On Glasgow list. Many conventions cost a fortune. Ours is completely free. This makes it the best budget-friendly day out for families, geeks, and gamers.

New Location for 2026 We have moved. You can now find all the action in The Hub, right next to the Odeon Cinema and Ice Rink.

Why it is perfect for kids & families:

  • First, Meet Heroes: Meet Spider-Man, Sonic, and Star Wars characters. Selfies are free!
  • Next, The Market: We fill The Hub and Plaza with over 60 stalls. Buy comic books, Pokémon cards, Funko Pops, and cool gifts.
  • Also, Cosplay: Dress up! We want to see costumes from kids and adults.
  • Finally, Gaming: Play retro games and see movie props near the cinema.

🎟️ Entry & Optional Support

East Kilbride Comic Con is for everyone. General entry is Completely Free. You do not need a ticket. Just turn up and enjoy the day!

However, running these events costs money. To help us, we now offer Optional Donation Tickets.

  • Standard Entry: £0 (Free)
  • Supporter Donation: Pay what you can Every penny helps cover venue and staff costs. Your support ensures we can return to East Kilbride every year.

Venue: EK, East Kilbride (The Hub)

EK is Scotland’s largest undercover shopping spot. It is warm and dry, so the weather won’t spoil your day. The event is inside the leisure area called The Hub.

Getting Here:

  • By Bus: The East Kilbride Bus Station is part of the centre. Express buses run from Glasgow City Centre often. It takes about 30 minutes.
  • By Train: East Kilbride Train Station is a short walk away. Trains run regularly to and from Glasgow Central.
