About The Akuma Anime Market Dundee
The Akuma Anime Market is Scotland’s dedicated pop-up market for anime and manga fans. We are taking over the Wellgate Shopping Centre in Dundee for a massive celebration of Japanese pop culture.
Mainstream shops often ignore anime fans. Therefore, we created a space just for you. This event is a huge highlight in the What’s On Dundee calendar. It is completely free to attend, making it the perfect weekend activity for families, collectors, and geeks.
What to expect at the market:
- First, The Figures: Hunt for your favourite characters. Buy imported anime figures, statues, and Gunpla kits.
- Next, The Art: Meet amazing independent artists. Shop for original anime prints, stickers, and handmade crafts.
- Also, Manga & Cards: Expand your collection. Traders will be selling English manga, Pokémon cards, and rare Japanese trading cards.
- Finally, Cosplay: Dress up! We encourage everyone to wear their best anime or gaming cosplay. The Wellgate is a fantastic spot for taking photos.

Venue: The Wellgate Shopping Centre
The Wellgate is a premier shopping spot right in the heart of Dundee. The event takes place fully indoors. As a result, the Scottish weather will not spoil your day. The floor is flat and perfect for prams and wheelchairs.
Getting Here:
- By Bus: The Seagate Bus Station is only a 5-minute walk away. Major local bus routes stop right outside the centre.
- By Train: Dundee Train Station is a 10-minute walk from the venue. It offers quick links to Perth, Aberdeen, and Edinburgh.
