Agatha Harkness Spinoff Show In The Works
News of an Agatha Harkness spinoff show has emerged, which would see Kathryn Hahn’s revisit her brilliant role from WandaVision. Hahn’s performance of the villainous witch was a stand out in the original Disney+ show and I am stoked to hear that we are getting more of this character.
It makes a lot of sense that they would do this, as the character of Agnes was a popular one, with her catchy ‘Agatha All Along’ song getting to #36 in the Billboard Charts and #1 in the iTunes chart. Then, there is also the fact that she wasn’t killed off at the end of the series, making it more than plausible for her to make a return.
That said, any particular details regarding the spinoff show are in exceedingly short supply at the time of writing. All that we know for sure at the moment is that reports have indicated that the spinoff series will follow the tone of a dark comedy and will also be written and executive produced by the head writer of WandaVision’s, Jac Schaeffer. Hahn is of course set to return to reprise her memorable role.
It would probably be safe to assume that the Agatha Harkness spinoff show is currently in the very early stages of development over at Marvel studios. It would also make a lot of sense for them to aim for a release sometime around Halloween 2022 given the show’s spooky themes and evil lead character.
Halloween next year may sound like a long time to wait, but fortunately we have plenty scheduled to tide us over until then. Hawkeye is set to start next month and will take us up to the end of December when The Book Of Boba Fett is due to drop. And we also have Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight to fit in between now and then.
