BGCP Comes to Bolton for the first time in 2023 when we come to Market Place Shopping Centre for two days, Attendees can expect traders selling a large range of Comics, Toys, Art, Cards and more on sale. We’ll be bringing our prop collection to display as well as some of our popular heroes and villains to meet and greet.
Character meet and greets will be announced closer to the event.
About BGCP
BGCP Comic Con was started as The Big Glasgow Comic Page back in July 2012 mostly out of boredom and trying to find more Comic Fans to speak to, The Facebook Page gathered likes extremely fast as there wasn’t anything like it at the time and eventually this led to a Comic Book Group, Pub Quizzes, Tournaments and eventually a Comic Book Market.
We organized BGCP Comic Markets for several years until we had outgrown the smaller venues in Glasgow City Centre so set out to run Comic Cons in and out of Glasgow and further over Scotland including East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Loch Lomond, Dunoon, Aberdeen and countless more towns and cities.

About the venue
Market Place is a shopping centre with restaurants, leisure offerings and a cinema built in Bolton’s original covered market which dates from the 1850’s. There is multistorey parking behind the Centre and two floors of stores including multi-national retailers like River Island, H&M, New look and JD Sports. Specialist shops like Hotel Chocolat, Body Shop and Pandora. Plus independant retailers offering everything from candles to cakes. There are cafes in the scheme and in the lower ground floor you will find The Vaults where we offer Prezzo and Nando eateries, bars and restaurants plus an escape room, and crazy golf venue.
