    Kirkcaldy Comic Con returns to the Mercat Shopping Centre this March!   Kirkcaldy, assemble—we are taking over the venue on Saturday, 21st March 2026, transforming it into a vibrant playground for geeks, gamers, and families. Whether you are a die-hard collector hunting for rare items or just looking for fun things to do in Fife with the kids, this event is the perfect Saturday day out. Event Details: Event: Kirkcaldy Comic Con Date: Saturday 21st March 2026 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Location: Mercat Shopping Centre, High St, Kirkcaldy KY1 1NJ Entry: FREE A Huge Selection of Traders We are bringing over 50 varied vendors to the heart of Fife. You can expect to browse through a massive selection of pop culture merchandise that you simply cannot find on the high street. Traders will be selling everything from single-issue comic books and graphic novels to action figures, T-shirts, and handmade crafts. If you collect Funko Pops, retro video games, or anime merchandise, you will find plenty of hidden gems here. We also host local artists and creators, giving you the chance to buy unique artwork directly from the source. Cosplay and Character Meet & Greets One of the highlights of the day is the atmosphere. We encourage everyone to dress up! Whether you are Spider-Man, a Jedi, or a character from your favourite anime, you are welcome here. It is a fantastic opportunity for cosplayers to debut new costumes and meet like-minded fans in the area. In addition to the cosplayers, we will have official character meet-and-greets throughout the day. You can snap a selfie with your favourite superheroes and villains for free. (The full schedule will be announced closer to the event date). Getting to the Venue The event takes place at the Mercat Shopping Centre. It is located right in the centre of town, making it incredibly accessible. By Bus: The Kirkcaldy Bus Station is directly adjacent to the centre. By Train: The Train Station is just a short 10-minute walk away. By Car: There is ample parking nearby for those driving in.     East Kilbride Comic Con returns to EK, East Kilbride this March! Specifically, we are taking over The Hub on the weekend of March 28th & 29th, 2026, for a massive two-day celebration of pop culture. Regardless of whether you are looking for free things to do in Lanarkshire or you are a serious collector hunting for rare items, East Kilbride Comic Con is the ultimate geek day out. Event Details: Event: East Kilbride Comic Con Dates: Sat 28th & Sun 29th March 2026 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Both Days) Location: The Hub, EK, East Kilbride (Near Odeon/Ice Rink) Entry: FREE New Location: The Hub Most importantly, please note that the event has moved to a new location within the centre. We are now situated at The Hub, which is the leisure heart of the shopping centre. Consequently, this new space places us right next to the restaurants, the Odeon Cinema, and the Ice Rink. Therefore, it is easier than ever to grab a bite to eat between browsing the stalls. What to Expect For this event, we are bringing over 60 independent traders to the centre. Furthermore, you can expect to browse through a massive selection of merchandise that you won't find on the high street. For instance, traders will be selling everything from comic books and graphic novels to action figures, T-shirts, and handmade crafts. Free Character Meet & Greets: First, meet your favourite superheroes, villains, and mascots all weekend. (Full schedule to be announced). Cosplay: In addition, we encourage everyone to dress up! Whether you are Spider-Man or a Jedi, you are welcome here. Gaming & Props: Finally, look out for retro gaming zones and giant movie props scattered throughout the venue. Getting to EK, East Kilbride Since the venue is located just 20 minutes from Glasgow, it is easily accessible. By Bus: The main bus station is connected directly to the centre. Furthermore, the market features many spooky goods. There is something for everyone. For instance, you can browse horror artwork and handmade jewellery. We also have taxidermy and animal bones. Additionally, we host traders selling metal band merchandise. You can also find retro horror toys. Therefore, it is the perfect place to find a rare gift. Support Independent Artists   Moreover, visiting the market helps small businesses. All our stallholders are independent creators. They pour passion into their craft. In addition to buying cool items, you can meet the artists. As a result, the atmosphere is very friendly. It is welcoming, even if the products are spooky! The Venue and Facilities   The event is at the Academy of Sport and Wellbeing (ASW). It is on the UHI Perth campus. Since this is a modern venue, it is spacious and bright. It is also fully indoors. This ensures a comfortable visit, even if it rains. Most importantly, the hall is on the ground floor. This makes it easy for wheelchairs and prams.
