BGCP Comic Con was started as The Big Glasgow Comic Page back in July 2012 mostly out of boredom and trying to find more Comic Fans to speak to, The Scottish Facebook Page gathered likes extremely fast as there wasn’t anything like it at the time and eventually this led to a Comic Book Group, Pub Quizzes, Tournaments and eventually a Comic Book Market  based soley in Glasgow.  We organized BGCP Comic Markets for several years until we had outgrown the smaller venues in Glasgow City Centre so set out to run Comic Cons in and out of Glasgow and further over Scotland including East Kilbride, Rutherglen, Loch Lomond, Dunoon, Aberdeen, Bathgate, Edinburgh, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy and countless more towns and cities.

Wonder Man Disney+ Review

Wonder Man Disney+ Review: Marvel’s Satirical Masterpiece (2026)

Wonder Man Disney+ Review: Marvel’s Satirical Masterpiece Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Stream It: Watch on Disney+ After months of speculation and a surprise drop on January 27, 2026, Marvel Studios has finally released Wonder Man. Operating under the experimental “Marvel Spotlight” banner, this miniseries is a refreshing, hilarious, and surprisingly poignant departure from the multiverse-ending stakes of recent MCU entries. In this Wonder Man Disney+ review, we break down why Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s debut is the cure for superhero fatigue and arguably the best thing Marvel has produced in Phase 6. A Fresh Take on the MCU: Hollywood Satire Meets Superheroes Unlike typical Marvel fare, Wonder Man isn’t about saving the world; it’s about saving a career. The story follows Simon Williams (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), a struggling actor with latent ionic superpowers who is desperate to land the lead role in a biopic about… himself. The show brilliantly introduces the “Doorman Clause,” a fictional legal ban on superpowered individuals working in Hollywood. This grounded conflict turns the series into a character-driven dramedy rather than a CGI slugfest. It feels less like Avengers and more like Barry meets Entourage, wrapped in a superhero cape. The Power of Chemistry: Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery The heartbeat of the series is the chaotic “bromance” between Simon and the returning Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley). Their dynamic anchors the show, poking fun at the industry, the concept of “content,” and even the MCU itself without ever feeling cynical. 🛍️ Shop The Look & Comics Want to dive deeper into Simon Williams’ history? Check out these essential reads on Amazon. (Note: As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.) Direction and Tone: A “Marvel Spotlight” Triumph Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (of Shang-Chi fame), the series utilizes the “Spotlight” format to its full potential. Because it doesn’t need to set up the next Avengers movie, it has time to breathe. The satire is sharp—one episode involving a motion-capture suit malfunction is an instant classic—but it’s the emotional depth of the finale that will stick with you. Pros and Cons The Good The Bad ✅ Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is charismatic and funny. ❌ Lack of traditional “boss fights” may annoy action purists. ✅ Ben Kingsley’s best performance in the MCU. ❌ Grim Reaper’s backstory felt slightly rushed. ✅ Standalone story requires no homework. ✅ Clever commentary on Hollywood labor laws. Final Verdict: Is Wonder Man Worth Watching? Absolutely. Wonder Man is a triumph of tone and character. It proves that the MCU still has fresh stories to tell when it allows its heroes to just be people (even ionic-powered ones). Whether you are a die-hard Marvel fan or just love good TV satire, this is a Disney+ premiere you shouldn’t miss. Disclaimer: This review contains affiliate links. Invincible Season 4: Release Date, Cast & Plot News

Invincible Season 4: Release Date, Cast & Plot News

Invincible Season 4: Confirmed Release Date, New Cast & Plot Spoilers The wait is almost over. Less than a year after the brutal conclusion of Season 3, Invincible Season 4 is officially weeks away. Amazon Prime Video has dropped the official trailer, confirmed the release schedule, and revealed the heavy-hitting voice actors who will bring the show’s most terrifying villains to life. If you thought the “Blue Suit” era was dark, you aren’t ready for the Viltrumite War. Here is everything we know about Invincible Season 4 ahead of its March premiere. Invincible Season 4 Release Date Official Premiere Date: Wednesday, March 18, 2026. Prime Video is sticking to the weekly release format that built massive momentum for Season 3. The first three episodes will drop on premiere day, followed by weekly episodes through April. Confirmed Schedule: New Cast: Who Is Playing Thragg? The biggest news of the season is the casting of Grand Regent Thragg, the leader of the Viltrumite Empire and the series’ ultimate antagonist. Returning heavyweights include Steven Yeun (Mark), J.K. Simmons (Omni-Man), and Sandra Oh (Debbie), alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan, whose role as Conquest will be significantly expanded this season following his debut in Season 3. Plot Details: The Viltrumite War Warning: Major comic book spoilers follow. 1. The War Begins Season 4 will adapt the bulk of the Viltrumite War arc. With the Coalition of Planets fully rallied under Allen the Alien (Seth Rogen), the cold war between the Coalition and the Viltrumite Empire turns hot. Mark and Nolan (Omni-Man) will be on the front lines, leading to some of the largest-scale battles the show has ever animated. 2. Thragg vs. Battle Beast The trailer gave us a brief glimpse of Battle Beast (Michael Dorn) unsheathing his weapon in space. Comic readers know what this means: the legendary duel between Battle Beast and Thragg is happening this season. This fight is widely considered the most brutal confrontation in the entire series, spanning multiple days and destroying entire landscapes. 3. The Dinosaurus Dilemma While the war rages in space, Mark faces a different kind of threat on Earth. Dinosaurus is not a typical villain; his arguments often make frighteningly logical sense. His dynamic with Mark will force Invincible to question the effectiveness of his “no-kill” rule and traditional superhero methods. 4. A New Look for Mark? Promotional art hints that Mark might not stay in the Blue Suit forever. As the war escalates and Mark matures, we may see his costume evolve again to reflect his status as a leader in the Coalition. Is Season 5 Confirmed? Yes. In a show of confidence, Amazon renewed Invincible for Season 5 back in July 2025. Creator Robert Kirkman has confirmed that voice work for Season 5 is already underway, ensuring that the “yearly release” promise remains unbroken. The goal is to adapt the full 144-issue run, and with the production pipeline now fully optimized, we are essentially in the Golden Age of Invincible. Conclusion Invincible Season 4 is shaping up to be a masterclass in superhero storytelling. With Lee Pace as Thragg and the Viltrumite War finally here, March 18 cannot come fast enough.

Agent Carter Season 2 Review: A Stylish but Scattered Hollywood Sequel

3 Honest Secrets: Agent Carter Season 2 Review (2026)

The Review: Hollywood Glamour vs. Narrative Lulls The Good: Sunshine, Science, and Jarvis The jump from the gray, rainy streets of NYC to the bright, neon-lit 1940s Los Angeles was a bold move that mostly paid off. The Mixed: A Story Stretched Thin At 10 episodes (two more than Season 1), the pacing begins to struggle. The Verdict: Season 2 is “More Marvel” but “Less Spy Noir.” It’s a fun, vibrant adventure that lacks the tight stakes of the first year. Is Agent Carter Canon? Season 1 Review and Why It’s Better Than Most Disney+ Shows

Is Agent Carter Canon? Season 1 Review and Why It’s Better Than Most Disney+ Shows

The Review: “I Know My Value” The Story: Post-War Spies and Secret Wars Set in 1946, Season 1 finds Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) relegated to administrative duties at the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) while the men return from the front lines. But when Howard Stark (Dominic Cooper) is framed for selling “Bad Baby” inventions to enemies of the state, he turns to the only person he trusts: Peggy. The Highlight: The Peggy and Jarvis Dynamic The standout feature of the season is the platonic chemistry between Peggy and Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy). This isn’t just a sidekick role; it’s a partnership that redefined the MCU’s “Civilian” characters. Seeing D’Arcy’s Jarvis in Avengers: Endgame years later only makes this first season more poignant. The Aesthetic: Noir Meets Marvel From the “V-Ray” technology to the sleek 1940s costumes and the shadowy threat of Leviathan, the show nails the “Atom-Punk” aesthetic. It manages to feel like a high-budget period drama while delivering the “Vita-Ray” action Marvel fans crave. The Verdict: At just 8 episodes, Season 1 is lean, mean, and perfectly paced. It tackles the “Iron Ceiling” of the 1940s with wit and grit, proving that Peggy Carter doesn’t need a serum to be a super soldier. Why it’s Still Canon in 2025 With Edwin Jarvis appearing in Avengers: Endgame and Peggy’s founding of S.H.I.E.L.D. being a cornerstone of the Ant-Man and Winter Soldier lore, this series is the definitive “Bridge” between the Golden Age and the modern MCU. It’s no longer in “Canon Limbo”—it’s a foundation. The Complete First Season: ? [Marvel’s Agent Carter Season 1 (Blu-ray)] The Soundtrack of the 40s: ?
