East Kilbride Comic Con: The Ultimate Free Family Event Near Glasgow

The BGCP East Kilbride Comic Con returns to the EK Shopping Centre for a massive weekend of pop culture fun. Because we are located just 20 minutes from the city, this is widely considered one of the best free things to do near Glasgow for families.

New Location for 2026

Please note that the event has moved. Previously, we were located in Centre West; however, the action has now shifted to The Hub, conveniently situated right next to the Odeon Cinema and Ice Rink.

Why you should visit:

• First, Meet Your Heroes: From Spider-Man and Sonic to Star Wars characters, you can meet your favourites all weekend. Unlike other Comic Cons in Scotland, our meet and greets are completely free.

• Additionally, Shop the Market: We are bringing over 60 independent traders to The Hub. Consequently, you can hunt for rare comic books, Pokémon cards, Funko Pops, and unique geeky gifts.

• Also, Perfect for Kids: If you are looking for kids events in Glasgow or Lanarkshire, this is ideal. We encourage children (and adults!) to come in costume for our cosplay celebration.

• Finally, Gaming & Props: Enjoy retro gaming zones and giant movie props scattered throughout the venue.

We believe events should be accessible to everyone. Therefore, general entry to East Kilbride Comic Con is Completely Free. You do not need a ticket; simply turn up and enjoy the day.

However, organizing these tours does cost money. Consequently, if you want to support us, we have introduced Optional Donation Tickets.

• Supporter Donation: Pay what you can Every single penny goes towards venue and staff costs. Ultimately, your support ensures we can keep returning to East Kilbride.

• Location: EK, East Kilbride (The Hub).
