The Evolution of Paisley Comic Con

Paisley has always been one of our favorite stops on the tour. For years, we have loved bringing the community together at the heart of the town. In addition, many of you will remember the incredible energy from our previous sell-out shows at the Lagoon Leisure Centre.

However, as the demand for geek culture in Renfrewshire grows, we continue to “level up” the experience. Consequently, we return to the Lagoon every year with a hall packed full of talent, technology, and toys. We turn the sports arena into a playground for geeks, gamers, and families. Ultimately, this makes it the top choice for things to do with kids in Paisley.

What to expect at every event:

• The Market: We fill the hall with over 50 traders selling rare comic books, Pokémon cards, Funko Pops, and custom crafts.
• Free-to-Play Arcades: Step back in time with our retro arcade machines or try the latest consoles—all included in your ticket price.
• Character Meet & Greets: Grab a selfie with heroes like Spider-Man, Sonic, and the Star Wars Garrison.
• Workshops & Panels: Learn how to draw manga, build props, or listen to industry pros talk about their craft.
• Cosplay Competition: Our legendary contest is the highlight of the day! Whether you are a pro or a first-timer, everyone is welcome on stage.

Venue: Lagoon Leisure Centre

The Lagoon is the flagship venue for events in Paisley. Because it is fully indoors, you don’t have to worry about the Scottish weather. Furthermore, the venue is fully accessible for prams, wheelchairs, and power-chairs.

Make a Day of It: One of the best things about this location is being right in the centre of Paisley’s historic West End:

• Refuel: The Lagoon features an on-site café for quick snacks. Alternatively, head into the town centre for local favorites like The Gantry or Pendulum.
• Explore: After the con, visit the stunning Paisley Abbey. Indeed, the architecture provides a fantastic “gothic” backdrop for cosplay photos.
• Relax: Finish your geeky day out with a movie at the nearby cinema or a walk through the historic Fountain Gardens.

Getting Here:

• By Bus: Numerous routes stop at Gauze Street and Smithhills Street, just a 5-minute walk from the venue.
• By Train: Paisley Gilmour Street station is only a 10-minute walk away. As a result, it is incredibly easy to visit from Glasgow or the coast.
• Parking: There is a large pay-and-display car park on-site, plus several multi-story options nearby.
