The kid has been losing serious quarters to the arcade’s hot new fighting game. But when he finds the Silver Coin, he just can’t stop winning-no matter how bloody the game gets. In a bonus short tale, a group of Woodchucks finds an interesting crow’s nest.

We’ve all been there the new kid in an Arcade trying to play against the reigning champion, who is the king of his own machine. Willaimson channels his inner child for this dark tale of a kid who just wants to fit it. Out of quarters, he’s drawn to a Mall fountain, where the ubiquitous Silver Coin calls out to him. Back in the Arcade, the result of exposing the coin to computer games have devastating results.
After the last issue’s original story it’s an interesting tale as the kid is for all intense purposes one of the most innocent of the victims.

The artwork is spot on again from Walsh, with the game graphics a high point for gruesome killings, the Spawn easter egg is a clever little nod to Image Comics. His use of panelling to introduce pace and energy are perfect for the issue building tension to a final crescendo.
Overall Thoughts
The Cursed Coin strikes again with an exceptionally strong issue to start its second run. The curse needs to feed and there an almost infinite possibilities out there for the writers to craft.
