The Boys Season 5 Release Date & Schedule
Amazon Prime Video has officially confirmed that The Boys Season 5 will premiere on April 8, 2026.
Unlike previous seasons that sometimes had staggered starts, Season 5 will launch with a two-episode premiere, followed by a weekly rollout leading to the series finale.

What to Expect: The End of The World?
Showrunner Eric Kripke has made it clear: no one is safe. Because this is the final season, the “plot armor” for the main cast is gone.
- The Viral Threat: Butcher is now in possession of the anti-supe virus from Gen V, and he’s willing to use it even if it means wiping out everyone—including his friends.
- Homelander’s America: Following the Season 4 cliffhanger, Homelander has effectively taken control of the United States. Season 5 picks up six months later, with the remaining members of “The Boys” imprisoned in Freedom Camps.
- The Return of Soldier Boy: Jensen Ackles is officially back as a series regular. Whether he’s there to help Homelander or destroy him remains the season’s biggest mystery.
Cast Additions: The Supernatural Reunion
In a treat for Supernatural fans, Season 5 will feature a major reunion. Joining Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Kessler) are Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins in undisclosed roles. We will also see Daveed Diggs join the cast as a character known as “O Father.”
