Hosts of Gamesmaster Revival Revealed

Gamesmaster hosts

It has been 23 years since the cult British television gaming show GamesMaster  was last broadcast in 1998. It was recently announced that the show would be revived by E4 for the modern era and today the hosts of the updated GamesMaster show were announced.

GamesRadar revealed today, (September 29) that Frankie Ward, Robert Florence, and Ty Logan will serve as the new hosts of GamesMaster. Florence will also be the creative consultant for the show and will function as the lead presenter. Back in the day, the main presenter was Dominik Diamond.

Robert Florence is most well-known for the Scottish comedy sketch show Burnistoun, which he wrote and stars in with Iain Connell. The pair also wrote and starred in the recent comedy sitcom, The Scotts, He does have some past experience as a presenter in the field of gaming though, having also presented shows such as; VideoGaiden and Consolevania.

Frankie Ward is probably best known for being one of the main presenters of annual PC Gaming Show at E3. She is also well known as an esports host and interviewer. Ty Logan works as an actor, a writer and a content creator. E4 recently named him one of their; “Faces for the Future.”

Robert Florence said of his new gig: “I’m hugely honoured that I’ve been trusted with ushering a new generation of challengers to their glory or humiliation, under the unflinching gaze of the GamesMaster.”

Ty Logan said: “I’m so excited to be joining the presenter team on GamesMaster. From being an E4 Face of the Future to fronting such a brilliant show, with this incredible team, is a dream come true. Let’s go!”

Frankie Ward added: “I couldn’t be more excited to be part of the GamesMaster team, especially as the one thing I love almost as much as playing games is watching other people play them – and believe me when I say I take the art of celebrating their triumphs and failures very seriously indeed.”

GamesMaster is set to make its return later this year beginning with three sixty minute episodes that will premier on E4’s YouTube channel and then will be later aired on E4.

What do you make of the new Gamesmaster hosts? Is this revival something that you are looking forward to seeing? Let us know down in the comments.
