Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ Trailer Shows New Footage

The newest trailer for ‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ is here, and from the looks of it, the show is exactly what MCU fans have been waiting for.

‘The Falcon and The Winter Soldier’ arrives on Disney + at the end of the week. From first glance the show is promising a completely different vibe from the previous MCU TV show, WandaVision.  Hopes are high for show and with a new trailer being released by Marvel, fan hype has only continued to grow.  The almost two-minute-long trailer is filled with a ton of new shots, including footage of Sam Wilson wielding Captain America’s shield.

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’s’ final trailer shows off Sam Wilson practicing with Steve Rogers’ shield around an obstacle course. All in all, he’s looking very capable with it. However, it appears that he’s still grappling with the responsibility of the Captain America mantle. Which looks to serve as a key theme of the show.

The footage also further emphasizes the government’s desire for new state sanctioned heroes within the MCU. The trailer directly refers to John Walker, (also known as US Agent in the comics) who has still yet to be directly seen or heard in any promotional footage. The trailer also shows off more of the show’s unnamed villains, that many fans suspect to be the terrorist group the Flag-Smashers.

Weirdly enough, Zemo does not appear in the trailer that much, which is surprising given that many have pegged him as the main antagonist. There were rumours that his story could involve a twist so maybe things aren’t what they seem. This wouldn’t be the first time that the MCU has pulled the rug away from fans, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the show.

What this trailer really does is show off the bond and chemistry between the shows two leading men. While the two heroes don’t always get along, it’s clear that they’re going to need each other as the fight off new villains. Of course, it’ll be interesting to see who takes on the mantle of Captain America by the series’ end. Bucky would be a firm choice, but all signs suggest Sam being the one to carry on the legacy.

‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ looks distinctly different from WandaVision, and that’s a good thing. While that show gave viewers more of an unsettling mystery to unravel, Falcon and Winter Soldier looks to be more of a high-octane action and political espionage adventure. It will be exciting to see what happens when the show premieres on March 19th on Disney+.
