Forge Shopping Centre Comic Con: The Ultimate Fan Recap The Forge Shopping Centre Comic Con was a massive weekend for the Glasgow East End community! In late 2024, the in Parkhead transformed into a vibrant hub for pop culture enthusiasts. This iconic venue, located on the Gallowgate, hosted one of our busiest events to date. Specifically, the convention ran from 10 am until 4 pm across the weekend and was free for all shoppers. Consequently, thousands of families looking for things to do in Glasgow East End joined us for an unforgettable experience. RELIVE THE PARKHEAD COMIC CON TAKEOVER The Forge is a legendary spot for shopping in Glasgow. Furthermore, hosting Scotland’s biggest free Comic Con there allowed us to reach fans right in the heart of their own community. We designed the weekend specifically to offer a high-energy atmosphere with new traders, characters, and props. While many events feel out of reach, our mission is to keep these celebrations accessible to everyone. As fans walked through the malls, they discovered a centre packed with creative spirit. We saw incredible costumes and met many dedicated collectors. Moreover, the presence of retro arcades and movie props kept the excitement high from start to finish. Because we focus on family-friendly fun, this takeover remains a highlight for Parkhead events and community gatherings. TRADERS, COLLECTIBLES, AND GLASGOW CREATIVES In this Forge Shopping Centre Comic Con guide, we want to highlight the amazing variety that fans enjoyed. We carefully selected our vendors to ensure the best merchandise in the West of Scotland. Specifically, the market featured: Comic Books: Rare back issues and modern graphic novels for all ages. Action Figures: Iconic heroes from Marvel, DC, and Star Wars. Handmade Art: Custom prints and jewelry from local Glasgow creators. Funko Pops and Lego: Massive displays of the latest and rarest figures. Anime Merch: Plushies, statues, and cards for Japanese culture fans. Beyond the shopping, fans enjoyed free character meet-and-greets throughout the weekend. These photo opportunities were a huge hit, providing the perfect memory for any young fan visiting the Forge for a day out.
