BGCP have managed to acquire 5 brand new exclusive behind the scenes set photos from the upcoming Obi-Wan Disney+ series. The photos can be viewed in the gallery below and show what looks like a Galactic Empire gun turret and what could be a small Stormtrooper base.
Bear in mind that the upcoming Obi-Wan series is set between Episode 3: Revenge Of The Sith and Episode 4: A New Hope. This means that that the Empire are a much more prominent threat in Obi-Wan than they were in the Mandalorian as that series is set after the Empire has been destroyed at the end of Episode 6: Return Of The Jedi.
The set photos above were taken at the top of the Cruachan dam which overlooks Loch Awe in Argyll & Bute, Scotland.
The official synopsis of the series from Disney reads; “The story begins 10 years after the dramatic events of ‘Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith’ where Kenobi faced his greatest defeat: the downfall and corruption of his best friend and Jedi apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.”
The cast for the series has been announced and will include Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell, and Benny Safdie.
Unfortunately, at the time of writing, Disney have yet to give us a release date for when the series will premiere.
What do you think of the set photos above? Do they give you any ideas of what the plot in the series could entail? Do they get you more excited about the upcoming series than you already were? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set in the same time period as Jedi: Fallen Order, which you can read our review for here.
We also reported on a rumour earlier in the year of a possible KOTOR remake. You can check that article out here.
