Marvel’s Loki Season 2 Announced, thanks to a teaser in the series finale credits.

After the season 1 finale, “For All Time. Always.” patient fans who stayed through the credits would be rewarded with a confirmation of a second season. The teaser shows Loki’s TVA case file, which is then stamped with the message “Loki will return in Season 2”.

For fans who keep up with the headlines, this isn’t surprising as rumours about a second season started spreading before the first episode aired. If these reports are to be believed, production on Season 2 will begin in January 2022. This means that Marvel’s Loki Season 2 will likely premiere in early 2023.

In regards to what a second season would focus on, there are many directions in which the show could go. The series finale did a good job of simultaneously wrapping things up and creating plot threads for the future. It’s likely Season 2 will feature aspects of the show that made the first season great – such as the TVA setting, Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius and Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15.

There’s no shortage of plot lines for a second season to explore, given the explosive series finale that will change the MCU forever. The revolutionary show has been met with good reviews, with critics applauding the show’s writing, score and performances from Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino.

Loki follows Tom Hiddleston as everyone’s favourite Asgardian anti-hero, who finds himself in the weird world of the mysterious TVA. He must team up with unexpected allies and change his ways if he wants to survive this time-hopping adventure.
