Intro

“MAD SCIENTIST” Part 2 of 6 Bruce Banner finally has total control with the Hulk locked away. But with a tight grip on his plans, Bruce forgot one thing…variables can happen at any time…and this one? Even Bruce couldn’t have imagined. The craziness continues, as the Hulk hurdles farther into space, but he is not alone out there!

Issue #2 from Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley brings the exciting new instalment of the Green Goliath. And it’s sure to be another rollercoaster ride on Starship Hulk!

Writing

I was desperate to get my hands on this issue after what was an absolutely outstanding first issue. I greedily devoured my first read through, ignoring everything and everyone around me. And that was simply down to how well Donny Cates has written this book. It grips you from start to finish in a way that you don’t want to put it down. If you read the first issue then you may already be aboard ‘Starship Hulk’, and if you are, you will not be disappointed with the latest instalment.

Artwork

Without even opening this book, the first thing that caught my eye was how good the cover art is. And then I got a look at some of the variant covers which quite honestly blew me away! But lets not detract from the man himself Ryan Ottley. Not only is his Cover art amazing but his work throughout the whole book is outstanding and the level of detail is unreal. His work on the Hulk when battling some well known foes is stand out for me in this issue and I found myself going back over those pages to marvel at his work.

Overall

What can I say about this book, other than fantastic, simply fantastic. With two titans of the industry in Donny Cates and Ryan Ottley, combining to bring their very own spin on the green goliath. And a fascinating new take on the Bruce Banner psyche, this is a book that should be on everyone’s reading list. It’s easily my book of the week. Marvel/Hulk fans, should rush out and pick this up straight away, you won’t be disappointed!
