DC Reveals Cast for the upcoming animated Injustice movie!
DC has announced the cast for the upcoming animated Injustice movie. Fans now know who is playing their favourite characters, such as Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
Cast
The Injustice movie will star Justin Hartley as Superman, Anson Mount as Batman, Laura Bailey as Lois Lane and Rama Kushna, Janet Varney as Wonder Woman, Brian T. Delaney as Green Lantern, Brandon Michael Hall as Cyborg, Edwin Hodge as Mr Terrific and Killer Croc, Oliver Hudson as Plastic Man, Gillian Jacobs as Harley Quinn, Yuri Lowenthal as Mirror Master, Flash and Shazam, Derek Phillips as Nightwing and Aquaman, Kevin Pollak as Joker and Jonathan Kent, Anika Noni Rose as Catwoman, Reid Scott as Green Arrow and Victor Zsasz, Faran Tahir as Ra’s al Ghul, Fred Tatasciore as Captain Atom, Zach Callison as Damian and Jimmy Olsen, and Andrew Morgado as Mirror Master Soldier.
Plot
In Injustice, the Joker tricks Superman into killing his beloved Lois as well as destroying most of Metropolis, this pushes the Big Blue Boy Scout too far and he seems to take the Joker’s life. Batman reacts badly to this and the battle lines seem to draw between those that want to control and police, and those that don’t. This helps balance the PvP format of the game while creating a narrative allowing groups to fight against each other.
Film Production
The film will be directed by Matt Peters, who is known for Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. It will be produced by Rick Morales who similarly produced Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge and written by Ernie Altbacker, the screenwriter for Batman: Hush.
The new animated Injustice film will be the latest medium to take on the beloved story. It was first established in the comics and then turned into a video game series created by NetherRealm Studios. Ever since the Injustice story was introduced, people have been hoping for a film adaptation.
Just as fans have been asking for this new Injustice movie, they’ve also been asking for a new video game. The most recent entry was in 2017 with Injustice 2, and players are eager for a sequel. When asked about a new game, co-creator Ed Boon said the studio had nothing new to announce. However, the studio recently announced the end of content for Mortal Kombat 11, and the studio is known to usually swap between the two franchises.
