Did Graham Norton Just Spoil No Way Home?

Graham Norton No Way Home

With just a week left to until one of the biggest MCU movies so far releases in cinemas, we may have just received confirmation of a major rumour due to a popular British chat show. The Graham Norton show may have just spoiled No Way Home in a big way following an appearance by two of the movie’s stars on the show to promote the upcoming film. More specifically, it was the Twitter account for the Graham Norton show who shared the following image.

Graham Norton No Way Home

Did one of the biggest reveals in No Way Home just get spoiled by Graham Norton? The text that went along with the image on the now-deleted tweet said; “Spider-Man: No Way Home, starring @Zendaya and @TomHolland1996 arrives in cinemas December 15!” As can be seen above, this was posted along with an image showing three Spider-Men swinging towards the camera. Tom Holland’s Spidey being front and centre, with Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s versions of the Webhead flanking the MCU version.

In case you have been living under a rock, the return of Maguire and Garfield’s respective previous iterations of Spider-Man in No Way Home, have been heavily rumoured ever since the movie’s director Jon Watts first revealed that the latest Spider-Man film will deal with the idea of the multi-verse. These rumours were only amplified after Alfred Molina casually revealed that he would be returning to the villainous character of Doc Ock in the flick.

And of course, the recent trailers confirming the re-emergence of a number of other past Spider-Man villains from the Sam Raimi and Marc Webb movies including; Willem Dafoe’s Green Goblin, Jamie Foxx’s Electro, Rhys Ifans as The Lizard amongst others have also added fuel to the fire. All of this along with a recently leaked image showing the three Spider-Men unmasked, is all but confirmation that they will indeed make an appearance in the film.

That said though, there is a chance that this inadvertent reveal was nothing more than a misleading mistake on the side of the research team for the Graham Norton Show’s Twitter account. The image shown in the tweet is in fact a previously seen fan-made poster that has been Photoshopped to show the three Spider-Men together that has not been officially distributed by Sony or Marvel.

However, this is still a major mainstream platform who may know something that we don’t due to possible early access to the film. What would compel them to choose to post an image of three Spider-Men instead of the original, official version of the image? Surely PR teams aren’t getting that lazy and posts like these tied to big shows like Graham Norton usually go through a few levels of approval before they are posted.

Before we get too carried away, it is important to note that this would not be the first time that the The Graham Norton Show has posted fan-made poster instead of an official image. They did the same thing with a mocked-up Doctor Who poster prior to The Day of the Doctor 50th anniversary Doctor Who special. I suspect that the BBC might need to start looking for a sharper marketing team.

Regardless, it is now only a week until we get to find out once and for all who will actually appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Have you got your tickets booked? Are you excited to see how it will all unfold? Let us know down in the comments section below.

In other news, Kevin Feige confirmed yesterday that Charlie Cox will still be Daredevil in the MCU.
