Ghost Of Ikishima Announced

Ghost Of Ikishima

We are currently rumoured to be getting an imminent announcement of a standalone DLC expansion for my favourite game of 2020, Ghost of Tsushima. The expansion will allegedly be titled, Ghost of Ikishima and if the rumours are to be believed, it could be set for release later this year.

We first heard of this new DLC expansion yesterday, after claims of its existence were made across the internet by several industry insiders. The project is believed to be currently in development over at Sucker Punch as we speak. Although there were several reports stating that the DLC existed, there was one in particular that gave us more details including the title of the expansion.

Nick Baker has a pretty decent track record when it comes to getting things right in the past and it was him that was the first to allege that Ghost of Ikishima will be the title of this new expandalone. As was the case with Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Spiderman: Miles Morales, Ghost of Ikishima will be available to purchase and play on its own, even if you do not own a copy of the base game. Also similar to The Lost LegacyGhost of Ikishima will be a much shorter experience than the base game that it spun off of.

Other information dropped regarding Ghost of Ikishima states that it will be set on the island of Ikishima, which is a small island Southeast of Tsushima. It is also rumoured that the DLC will release drop at some point before the end of the 2021 and will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

We know that a Sony State Of Play is imminent after their absence at this year’s E3, so this would be the perfect time to make this announcement. We will also hopefully receive confirmation once and for all during that same livestream whether Abandoned from Blue Box Studios, is in fact the revival of Silent Hills.

We also reported earlier in the year on the Ghost of Tsushima movie adaption that is in the works over at Sony.

Would you like to see Sucker Punch release a standalone expansion of the masterpiece that was Ghost of Tsushima? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for coverage on that inevitable Sony State Of Play livestream.
